Review : SCR3500A problems on Mac OS X

I have owned two of the SCR3500 readers over the past 7 years and they have performed well. I cannot, however, get the SCR3500A to work on my Mac systems. The reader is seen on the USB bus, but no CAC card is ever detected and no LED ever lights. If you are running libcackey as your middleware and are not in a position to upgrade to the Identive drivers, be wary of the SCR3500A readers.
